Leamington
based TMG Sport has clinched the contract to
organise worldwide travel for one of the newest
racing teams on the popular FIA GT circuit.
It will handle the travel arrangements for Team
Maranello Concessionaires [TMC], which was created
late last year and is entering two Ferrari 360GTs
in the 2003 ten-race championships.
The
agreement follows the news in November that
TMG had won the business travel account for
Motor Sport Developments Ltd, which runs the
Hyundai World Rally Team. William Davies,
TMG's sales manager, said: "The Team Maranello
account is important to us. They have
a very good chance of winning the championship
at their first attempt, and from our point of
view getting there to the starting grid on time
is a big responsibility".
TMG
will organise worldwide travel for the race
team's four drivers, 25 mechanics, technicians
and other officials. With other centres
in Edinburgh, North West and the Home Counties,
Travel Management Group is one of the UK's top
20 business travel companies, meeting the travel
needs of more than 500 business clients, from
international blue chip companies to local businesses.
The
firms also handles travel for Premiership football
teams such as Arsenal, Fulham and Newcastle
United.
