A business travel firm has confirmed that three people from Coventry and three from Warwickshire were either in Mumbai or surrounding areas when the recent terrorist trouble started.

Travel Management Group has been speaking to local bosses and airlines to ensure that customers are safe and able to continue their travels. Two businessmen from a Coventry firm were being placed on a flight to Delhi to escape the commotion which has left hundreds on innocent people wounded by gunmen.

David Moore, director of business travel, said: "Obviously when a situation like this occurs we use our travel security data software to find out where our clients are in and if they have already left the area. We have been in contact with the companies who have sent their employees to Mumbai to discuss what steps they want us to take."
